Vibrant crimson, blush, and cream hues highlight the allover exotic Persian motifs on this one-of-a-kind hand-knotted wool rug from the Alchemy collection. Angular cypress trees, geometric medallions and palmettes emerge in abstract fashion from the charcoal ground, the motifs appearing to rise from the foundation. Upcycled into a new material, excess yarn is re-carded and re-spun by individual artisans in India, the spontaneous bursts of colour within evoking the artistic sensibility of a painter’s brushstroke.
